When the Saint came marching in, the Graco baby-products brand was born.

The company was founded by Russell Gray and Robert Cone in 1942, beginning its life as Graco Metal Products. Eleven years later, Gray departed the company, leaving Cone to ponder reshaping his business.

Enter David Saint, an artist, engineer, and father of nine. Saint was inspired by watching his wife soothe tired and cranky youngsters with the family’s backyard swing, a sight which drove him to create the world’s first wind-up infant swing. After 18 months of hard work, the Graco Swyngomatic was born. Over the years, millions of parents have benefitted from Saint’s vision, and Graco has become one of the world’s top manufacturers of infant and child products.

The Lovin’ Hug Swing continues the Graco family tradition begun by Saint more than a half century ago, with expert design that not only incorporates a full suite of thoughtful touches, but actually mimics a mother’s warm embrace. Designed by David Saint’s son Nate, Graco’s Pack N’ Play PlayYards take convenience, comfort, and fashion on the road. All of Graco’s child car seats manufactured after 2002 feature LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system, a federally defined system for installing a child car seat in an automobile. LATCH is designed to make installing your child’s car seat quicker and more secure; most new vehicles are equipped with the system’s factory-installed stabilization points.
